Unifeye Vision Partners is currently hiring for a Temporary Medical Records, Westlake Village, CA
SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Medical Records Representative to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and aid our patients and other visitors. You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, providing and requesting records from outside facilities, fax clinic notes and work alongside the front office staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answer portal and voicemails and fulfill Medical Records Requests
  • Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
  • Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
  • Confirm that patients have signed all paperwork necessary to allow records to be disclosed to patient
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Knowledge and compliance in federal, state and local regulatory requirements for medical records.
  • Demonstrated flexibility. Must be punctual, able to work well in a very busy environment, alphabetize, spell accurately, and strive for unsurpassed customer service.
  • Computer experience with Intergy Practice Management is helpful.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and processes within an office environment.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Effective problem-solving skills are essential.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods, as well as frequent walking, patient interaction in a clinical setting, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
