Medical Record Indexer
Location: Spokane, WA 99205 (Remote)
Company: AllMed Staffing, Inc.
Job Type: Full-Time Contract

AllMed Staffing is seeking experienced Medical Record Indexers to support a Department of Veterans Affairs contract. This fully remote position supports the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center and involves indexing medical and administrative records within the Oracle Cerner Electronic Health Record system.

This role is ideal for candidates with Health Information Management, medical records, document imaging, or EHR experience who possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Index medical and administrative documents into Oracle Cerner.
  • Verify document quality, accuracy, and legibility.
  • Link records to the correct patient file using Financial Identification Numbers (FINs).
  • Assign correct document types, note titles, dates of service, and visit locations.
  • Perform quality reviews on all indexed records prior to submission.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Follow HIPAA, VA, and healthcare privacy regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of medical records, HIM, document management, or healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience working within an electronic health record system.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Oracle Cerner experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
