Temporary Digital Archivists are professionals hired on a short-term basis to organize, preserve, and manage digital records and archives. They often work for libraries, museums, universities, or other organizations with large collections of digital materials. Their responsibilities include digitizing physical documents, maintaining metadata, ensuring digital preservation standards are met, and making digital assets accessible to users. Temporary positions may be project-based, such as supporting a major digitization initiative or backlog clearance. These roles require skills in archival science, information management, and digital technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temporary digital archivist?

To thrive as a Temporary Digital Archivist, you need a solid background in archival science, library science, or a related field, often supported by a relevant degree or certification.
