Job description

GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

Every role in the Archdiocese of Seattle is responsible for working together to extend this ministry and connect the local Catholic community with the worldwide Church by inspiring faith, hope, and unity. Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop of Seattle as outlined in the position description below.

General Summary of Essential Purpose:

Provide temporary support to the Communications team to organize and rebuild the archival library of photos, videos and design projects, as well as general administrative support.

ย Essential Position Duties:

  1. Migrating a large set of content (photos, videos and design projects) from various digital locations into the central archiving software.
  2. Tagging photos and videos with descriptions, key words and other identifying information, ensuring alignment with naming convention.
  3. General clean up and organization of photo and video library.
  4. General Communication team administrative support, which may include researching information, tracking social media trends, auditing parish bulletins and more.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Primary:ย 
  1. Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
  2. Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church.

2.ย ย  Education:

  1. High School degree or equivalent.

3.ย ย  Experience:

  1. Experience working in databases or digital asset management software.
  2. Some experience working in an office environment.

4.ย ย  Other Elements:

  1. Detail oriented and accurate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  2. Enjoys process and database-like work.
  3. Critical thinker who can work independently.
  4. Self-starter and pro-active.
  5. Ability to meet deadlines.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicantโ€™s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
