Key Responsibilities
  • Appraise, organize, and catalog archival materials in accordance with established best practices.
  • Maintain and enhance collection management systems and documentation standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of archival records.
  • Support ongoing archival projects and collection initiatives, contributing to the strategic growth and organization of the archives.
  • Conduct condition assessments and recommend proper storage and handling procedures to ensure the longevity of materials.
  • Support preservation planning and environmental best practices, contributing to a robust conservation strategy.
  • Assist with artifact preparation for loans or exhibitions, ensuring safe handling and presentation.
  • Maintain and improve metadata, taxonomy, and digital asset structures, optimizing digital organization.
  • Partner with internal teams to optimize tools, workflows, and archival systems, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Support long-term digital preservation and accessibility strategies, ensuring future access to digital assets.
  • Maintain and update archival policies, procedures, and handling guidelines.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to support archival operations and data governance.
  • Provide guidance or training on archival best practices as needed, sharing expertise across teams.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in archives, records management, museums, or special collections.
