What You’ll Do

As a Security Systems Technician, you’ll install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of low-voltage security systems, including:

  • Security & Burglar Alarm Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Panic, Hold-Up & Wandering Alarm Systems

Additional responsibilities include

  • Installing, programming, testing, and servicing systems
  • Troubleshooting wiring and system issues
  • Reading diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Ensuring installations meet codes and standards
  • Communicating with customers, contractors, and team members
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Occasional overnight travel during weekday projects
