  • Friday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. CST
Why the role is open: Growing patient volume and expanded clinical programs
Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about getting coding right the first time?
We're seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join a respected and growing healthcare organization. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates currently residing in Oklahoma and is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, works well independently, and understands how proper coding directly impacts compliance, reimbursement, and the overall revenue cycle.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Fully remote opportunity for Oklahoma residents
  • Consistent weekday schedule with early Fridays
  • Direct impact on accurate reimbursement and provider success
  • Collaborative partnership with billing, providers, and compliance teams
  • Supportive, growth-oriented organization that values accuracy, accountability, and patient-first care
  • Opportunity to work independently while still being part of a connected, collaborative team
What You'll Do
As a Medical Coder, you'll play a key role in the revenue cycle by ensuring patient encounters are coded accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements.
  • Review provider documentation and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Ensure coding meets payer, state, federal, and organizational compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation when additional information is needed
  • Enter coded data into the EHR and complete applicable billing workflows
  • Review and audit coding for accuracy, making corrections and providing feedback when needed
  • Track and assist with resolving denials and rejections related to coding issues
  • Identify documentation or coding trends that may impact reimbursement
  • Stay current on coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry updates
  • Consistently meet established productivity and accuracy expectations in a remote environment
What We're Looking For
  • Must currently reside in Oklahoma
  • CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification preferred
  • 2-3 years of medical coding experience in a clinic, physician practice, or hospital setting
  • Specialty coding experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing priorities in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and other web-based platforms
  • Ability to consistently meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate virtually with providers and internal teams
Remote Work Environment
This position is 100% remote; however, candidates must reside in Oklahoma.
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable:
  • Working independently in a dedicated, professional home workspace
  • Spending extended periods working on a computer and completing detailed coding and data-entry tasks
  • Communicating and collaborating with team members and providers virtually
  • Managing your workload effectively while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while working remotely

Why Join Our Partner?
This healthcare team is committed to supporting patients and ensuring accuracy across every step of the revenue cycle. They value teamwork, accountability, and empowering their staff to make an impact.
