Personal Chef

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Pay: $25.00 to $65.00 per hour

About the Role

Viva Chefs is a platform that connects experienced chefs with families looking for high quality meals prepared in their homes. We work with talented chefs who enjoy cooking independently, interacting with clients, and creating customized menus based on each household’s preferences.

We are currently looking for professional chefs in the San Francisco Bay Area who have strong culinary fundamentals and are comfortable working directly in a client’s home environment. This role is ideal for chefs with restaurant experience who are looking to supplement their income with flexible personal chef work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in clients’ homes according to their dietary preferences and requirements

• Plan menus in collaboration with clients, tailoring dishes to their tastes and dietary needs

• Shop for groceries as needed and manage ingredients for each cooking session

• Handle the full cooking process from preparation to plating and storage of meals

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen during and after each cooking session

• Provide a friendly and professional experience for clients during each visit

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience (restaurant, catering, or similar)

• Experience as a personal chef or private chef is strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment

• Ability to work independently in a client’s home

• Professional, reliable, and comfortable interacting with clients
