Job Title: Telecom Financial Analyst

Location: New York City, NY Duration: 12 Months
Work Arrangement: Day 1 Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Financial Analyst to support Telecom Services and Expense Management operations within a large enterprise IT environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis, telecom expense management, reporting, and data analytics expertise with the ability to optimize financial processes, manage vendor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

This role requires a highly analytical professional with experience working with telecom financial data, forecasting, auditing, and reporting tools in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities<>Telecom Expense & Financial Management
  • Establish and optimize processes for telecom expense management and financial operations
  • Analyze and audit telecom invoices, wireless plans, and equipment purchases from carriers
  • Investigate billing discrepancies, overcharges, and vendor anomalies
  • Monitor and track planned versus actual expenses
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Prepare variance reports, expense analyses, and financial status reports
<>Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Utilize SQL and data analytics tools such as Tableau to analyze large datasets and reporting metrics
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models and budget tracking reports
  • Generate reports related to telecom usage, Machine-to-Machine accounts, project spending, and vendor expenses
  • Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy across financial systems
<>Vendor & Contract Financial Oversight
  • Analyze vendor expenses against contract funding allocations
  • Support cost-benefit analyses (CBA) and ROI evaluations
  • Assist with procurement forecasting, contract modifications, and vendor payment processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve financial and billing issues
<>Process Improvement & Project Support
  • Optimize financial workflows and reporting processes for operational efficiency
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance from both cost and timeline perspectives
  • Support mid-year and year-end forecasting and rollover activities
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis and reporting support for telecom-related initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Telecom Services & Expense Management
  • Strong experience with:
    • SQL
    • Tableau or similar data analytics tools
    • Telecom expense management
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Invoice auditing and financial analysis
  • Experience with project-based financial management
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
