Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
The Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS) plays a crucial role in evaluating, recommending, and providing customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet the unique needs of our clients. This position involves working closely with clients, families, therapists, and physicians to ensure the appropriate equipment is provided to maximize independence and enhance quality of life. A strong understanding of clinical conditions and extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment are essential for success in this role.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals based on therapist assessment findings and physician orders. This includes analyzing findings with regard to client's physical abilities, environmental needs, and lifestyle considerations.
  • Delivering and fitting of equipment, assuring that functional goals established at the evaluation are met.
  • Collaborating with customers, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team of professionals to formulate recommendations for appropriate assistive and complex rehab technology equipment to meet identified needs.
  • Meeting/exceeding established productivity goals year over year.
  • Growing relationships with potential customers and referral sources and maintaining existing relationships to optimize business opportunities.
  • Maintaining eligibility status with various vendor systems is required to assure continuous access to facilities.
  • Keeping abreast of funding requirements and technological advances within the Rehab Technology industry.
  • Develop and maintain new relations and referral sources.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion's mission.  
  • Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion's policies and federal regulations. 
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times.  Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or certification in related field e.g. occupational therapy, physical therapy or biomedical engineering will be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Assistive Technology direct customer-related services or related field may be considered.
  • Must have valid Drivers License.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Attain and apply clinical, technical and interpersonal skills in a needs analysis of complex mobility issues for individuals with various disabilities.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required to generate appropriate, individualized recommendations for CRT equipment and interventions.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with complex rehabilitation technology.
  • Previous experience in selling DME equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects independently and effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of various clinical conditions impacting mobility, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.
  • Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of time working at a desk and/or on a computer.
  • Occasionally move and reach with arms and hands.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
