Director, Mobile Architecture
The Role

In this role, you will be part of a team of architects leading various mobile experiences, frameworks, and platforms, driving forward the app portfolio in Workplace Investing, as well as lead and collaborate on sophisticated enterprise wide mobile initiatives! You will have ownership over various parts of the mobile experience, responsible for the design, implementation, and quality, building enterprise grade mobile capabilities to be shipped to multiple mobile applications across the enterprise. You will work closely with the Product Area to address sophisticated and exciting business problems and recommend impactful architecture solutions for Fidelity's Mobile experiences.

The following will help you succeed and thrive in this role:

  • Ability to learn quickly, beflexible,adaptable, and strive to excel in afast paced, changing environment
  • Substantial experienceleading and coordinating architecturefor the development and deployment of key mobile apps and features, working acrosshybrid and native implementations
  • Extensive expertise with native and hybrid mobile frameworks includingiOS,Android,IonicCapacitor (or similar)
  • Adept atiOS developmentusing Swift and/orAndroid developmentusing Kotlin
  • Deep knowledge of client-side web technologies includingAngular,JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, etc.
  • Experience withproof-of-concept developmentand evangelization
  • Solid understanding ofserver-side/cloud architectureand technologies, like AWS
  • Proficient in principles ofAPI designand it's applications
  • Drive innovation by integratingAI-assisted tooling, GitHub agents, and intelligent automation into the engineering lifecycle
  • Influence and articulate architecturesolutions to product, development and architecture leadership
  • Expertise inworking across engineering and product teams, coordinating project work
  • Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, with equivalent experience considered
