RESPONSIBILITIES

U.S. FinTech is seeking an experienced Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) who excels at turning strategic vision into consistent, reliable execution to deliver results for high-impact technical programs.  In this role you will lead complex, cross-functional technology programs that drive critical business outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of technology, business, and execution - setting direction, navigating ambiguity, and orchestrating delivery of innovative solutions, while fostering a culture of transparency. 

As a part of the ePMO Execution and Governance team, you will also help to shape and mature best practices and tools for project and product delivery.

Key Job Functions

  • Lead and scale technical program management for large, multi-year, multi-team initiatives in partnership with cross-functional leadership team
  • Drive end-to-end program delivery, from estimation and business case approval through execution, go-live readiness, product launch and benefit reporting post-go-live
  • Partner with Technology and Product leadership to align technical strategy with business priorities and customer outcomes
  • Lead roadmap and project plan development, identifying technical and business dependencies across cross-functional teams and various platforms
  • Partner with Architecture and Technical Leads to guide technical trade-off decisions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior executives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on delivery risk, investment trade-offs and execution strategy
  • Anticipate and resolve systemic delivery challenges, technical risks, and organizational bottlenecks
  • Own program governance, including dependency management, risk mitigation, metrics, and executive-level reporting
  • Ensure strong change management and communication strategies
  • Champion agile and modern delivery practices, while continuously enterprise-wide program management frameworks and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS

Education   

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field
  • MBA degree is a plus

Minimum Experience  

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Program Management (TPM) role
  • 7+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology programs
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. U.S. FinTech does not offer sponsorship for this position.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills     

  • Experience delivering cloud-native, distributed systems at scale
  • Experience managing large, complex, highly cross functional software development efforts is required (i.e. coordinating across 7+ delivery workstreams / departments)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (including waterfall, Agile and Hybrid), system architecture, and platform engineering
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, and proven ability to develop and deliver Executive level presentations   
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with ability to formulate business recommendations for senior management
  • Experience with establishing and executing ePMO / VMO processes  
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to manage, mentor and coach team members
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, matrix environment
  • Experience with program cost estimation, and ability to validate and challenge completeness and accuracy
  • Experience in process optimization and driving enterprise level process maturation efforts
  • Top-tier management consulting industry background preferred
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with key MS products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and Issue & Project tracking software (i.e. JIRA)

Pay Range $181,250 to $208,500

U.S. FinTech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. U.S. FinTech offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
