About the role:

Responsible as a resource and technical manager for 15+ personnel. The Nuclear Instrumentation Systems (NIS), Detectors and Sensors engineering team is responsible for operations. The team must ensure it meets standards of quality, including managing the corrective action program. Additionally, the team must ensure that it meets cost standards, including using resources to meet assigned targets. You/applicant/employee must also meet safety standards, including a Nuclear Safety Culture, personnel safety, and Industrial safety. Furthermore, the team must ensure that it meets reliability and performance in engineering processes. Develop resources and lead people development activities. Prepare and implement training plans with emphasis on long-term resource needs. Focus on developing engineering skills to ensure added value to the customer. This includes providing feedback, evaluation for merit and promotion and addressing performance issues.

You will report to the Director, Safety & Reactor System Engineering and will be Hybrid in New Stanton, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible as a resource and technical manager for 15+ personnel.
  • Develop resources and lead people development activities.
  • Prepare and implement training plans with emphasis on long-term resource needs.
  • Focus on developing engineering skills to ensure added value to the customer.
  • This includes providing feedback, evaluation for merit and promotion and addressing performance issues.
  • Lead the team with a strategic focus, communicate vision for future and promote culture that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Develop culture that values a safety conscious work environment, personalized customer service and human performance fundamentals.
  • Scan the environment to verify products and services are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse.
  • Develop solutions to create customer value in collaboration with appropriate Westinghouse organizations.
  • Identify unmet customer needs through appropriate market channels, especially direct customer interaction.
  • Orchestrate and drive cost efficient product or service delivery which meets or exceeds business plan objectives.
  • Responsible for group financial performance (including planning and forecast). This would include items like resource productivities and group cost centers / spending.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership with preferred experience in instrumentation & control.
  • Experience in I&C systems
  • Prefer to have knowledge in experience in Nuclear Instrumentation Systems (NIS), Detector and Sensor systems but not required.
  • Demonstrate the engineering of customer - oriented solutions which directly support Our profitability goals.
  • Demonstrated successful offer development skills in estimating and executing complex projects.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,00 per year.
