Purpose and Mission

We are looking for a results-driven Underground Technical Business Development Manager with strong value-based technical skills and previous experience in the underground / tunneling construction market.   The ideal individual will have the proven ability to grow developing markets and seize new opportunities.  This function is remote based and will report directly to  our Global Underground Technical Manager.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
  • Manage existing value chain of design offices and develop new engineers by increasing the technology awareness of fiber reinforced concrete
  • Establish strong relationships in tunneling and mining, to create awareness about the possibilities of fiber reinforced concrete
  • Understand deeply and analyze thoroughly what the market needs and expects, from the technical sales point of view.
  • Participate in growing the Dramix steel fibers and Synmix macro synthetic, Duomix micro synthetic market by increasing the technology awareness through design offices and direct influencers (Specifiers, Technical departments, Consultants)
  • Participate to increase our technical sales leadership in specific underground segments as precast segmental linings, shotcrete, structural applications, and ready-mix concrete industry
  • Support the Sales team in winning specific projects in the applications above described
  • Present persuasive technical presentations for small and large audiences, in person and virtually
  • Participate in appropriate technical committees (ACI, ASTM, etc)
  • Provide technical solutions and address questions on the adoptions of solutions including modifications to structural drawings, specifications, and details
  • Report on competitors' activities, including new products and technologies
  • Propose new product innovation to successfully grow business awareness and specifications

Previous Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical sales or related roles
Qualifications and Education
  • Master's degree in tunnel engineering or civil / structural engineering, PE required
  • 5+ years of working experience in the underground construction market
  • Familiarity with industrial building codes and ACI norms
