About the Role

The Senior Business Development Manager, Technical Ecosystem is responsible for expanding and accelerating adoption of SanDisk consumer flash storage solutions across host platforms, device manufacturers, silicon vendors, and ecosystem partners. This role reports to the Director, Ecosystem Product Management and serves as a technical business lead, bridging commercial strategy, partner relationships, and technical enablement.

You will work closely with global Technical Marketing Managers (TMMs), Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to ensure SanDisk technologies-such as microSD Express, SD, USB, and portable SSDs-are designedin, validated, and commercially adopted across key ecosystem segments including imaging, gaming, mobile, compute, and emerging devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Technical Ecosystem Business Development

  • Own strategic and tactical business development for assigned ecosystem partners, including host device OEMs, chipset vendors, platform providers, and ODMs.
  • Drive designwins, platform inclusion, and reference adoption of SanDisk consumer flash storage products.
  • Identify ecosystem gaps, partner needs, and technical barriers to adoption; translate these into actionable engagement plans.

Partner Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trustbased relationships with technical and business decisionmakers at partner companies.
  • Act as SanDisk's primary ecosystem business interface, coordinating commercial discussions while ensuring technical alignment through TMMs and engineering.
  • Support joint roadmapping, partner planning, and longterm ecosystem alignment.

Technical Alignment & Enablement (with TMMs)

  • Work handinhand with Technical Marketing Managers across regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas) to:
    • Align partner requirements with SanDisk product capabilities
    • Support compatibility testing, validation, and qualification efforts
    • Ensure consistent technical messaging and partner enablement globally
  • Ensure partner feedback flows back into Product Management and Engineering to inform roadmap and ecosystem priorities.

Ecosystem Strategy Execution

  • Execute the ecosystem strategy defined by the Director, Ecosystem Product Management, focusing on adoption, scale, and market readiness rather than earlystage exploration.
  • Support expansion of new standards and technologies (e.g., microSD Express) by aligning commercial incentives with technical readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for comarketing, joint announcements, ecosystem showcases, and industry events.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure ecosystem engagements translate into revenueimpacting outcomes.
  • Support GTM readiness by ensuring partners are technically enabled and commercially aligned ahead of launches.
  • Provide regular updates on partner status, risks, and adoption progress to leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, ecosystem development, or technical partnerships within consumer electronics, semiconductor, or storage industries
  • Strong understanding of consumer flash storage technologies (microSD, SD, USB, portable SSDs) and host device ecosystems
  • Proven experience working with OEMs, silicon vendors, platform providers, or ODMs
  • Ability to engage credibly at both technical and business levels
  • Experience collaborating with geographically distributed technical teams

Preferred

  • Prior experience working closely with Technical Marketing, FAE, or Systems Engineering teams
  • Familiarity with industry standards bodies (e.g., SD Association, USBIF, PCISIG, JEDEC)
  • Experience supporting global ecosystems across APAC, EMEA, and Americas
  • Background in gaming, imaging, mobile, or compute ecosystems

  • You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
