POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding high-quality talent for our business unit brokerage focusing on sales and operations roles and as needed with corporate positions. This role supports company growth by building strong talent pipelines for both experienced professionals and early-career hires through strategic sourcing and college recruiting initiatives. The position partners closely with leadership to align hiring strategies with business objectives while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with our policies. Additionally, this role provides support to broader Human Resources initiatives, including administrative tasks and participation in HR projects that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for assigned business units, including logistics brokerage (sales, carrier sales, operations) and as needed with corporate functions and/or positions
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and success profiles aligned with business objectives
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates using a variety of recruiting channels including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for both experienced hires and early-career candidates
  • Coordinate and participate in college recruiting initiatives, including career fairs, campus events, and internship programs
  • Manage candidate communications and ensure a positive, timely, and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Partner closely with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to execute recruiting strategies and meet hiring goals
  • Assist in prioritizing requisitions and managing workflow to support business needs and hiring timelines
  • Collaborate on sourcing strategies, pipeline development, and continuous improvement of recruiting processes
  • Support reporting efforts by tracking recruiting metrics and maintaining accurate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Learn and apply recruiting best practices under the guidance of the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Demonstrate a consistently positive and professional demeanor, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Travel as needed to company offices, recruiting events, and college campuses to support hiring initiatives and strengthen internal and external partnerships

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting for sales, customer-facing, or performance-driven roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and sourcing tools
  • Strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding
  • Experience coordinating interviews and working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruiting activities and business support


PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage environments
  • Experience recruiting for commission-based or quota-driven sales roles
  • Experience with campus recruiting, internship program management, or university partnerships
  • Familiarity with high-growth or scaling organizations
  • Exposure to employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives
  • Experience using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, or CRM-style talent platforms
