What is a remote talent sourcer?

A Remote Talent Sourcer is a human resources professional who works from a remote location to identify and engage potential candidates for job openings. They use various online platforms, databases, and networking strategies to find qualified individuals, often for hard-to-fill or specialized roles. Their primary responsibility is to build a talent pipeline by sourcing and pre-screening candidates before passing them on to recruiters or hiring managers. Remote Talent Sourcers play a crucial role in helping organizations find the right talent efficiently while working from anywhere with internet access.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote talent sourcer?

To thrive as a Remote Talent Sourcer, you need a strong background in candidate research, sourcing strategies, and an understanding of recruitment processes, often supported by experience in human resources or staffing. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Boolean search techniques, and professional networking platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter is typically required. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills help you stand out in finding and engaging top talent. This is a high-volume recruiting and sourcing role focused on building a strong pipeline of personal trainer candidates.

The main responsibility is to source personal trainers through platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Greenhouse, and other recruiting channels, conduct initial phone screens, and schedule qualified candidates for interviews with our onboarding team.

Our clients are actively waiting to be matched with trainers, so speed, organization, communication, and follow-up are critical. The right candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and moving candidates quickly through the pipeline.

  • Schedule qualified candidates for interviews with the onboarding team.
  • Maintain accurate notes, candidate statuses, and follow-up activity in Greenhouse or the company recruiting system.
  • Follow up consistently with candidates to reduce drop-off.
  • Prioritize recruiting activity based on markets where Svetness has active client demand.
  • Communicate daily progress, challenges, and pipeline updates to the team.
  • Work quickly while maintaining candidate quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Experience sourcing candidates through Indeed is required.
  • Recruiting, staffing, talent sourcing, or appointment-setting experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting personal trainers, fitness professionals, healthcare workers, field-service providers, or 1099 contractors is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and conducting candidate phone screens.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple candidates and markets at once.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience using Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Indeed, or similar recruiting tools preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and stay accountable to daily activity and results.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of personal training certifications such as NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NCSF, or similar.
  • Experience recruiting 1099 contractors.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
  • Prior high-volume recruiting or sourcing experience.

What Success Looks Like

  • You are sourcing new personal trainer candidates daily.
  • Qualified candidates are being screened and scheduled quickly.
  • Candidate notes and statuses are updated accurately.
  • Urgent recruiting markets are prioritized based on client demand.
  • The onboarding team has a consistent flow of qualified candidates to interview.
  • The trainer pipeline remains active and moving.

Why Join Svetness

  • Remote 1099 opportunity.
  • Stable monthly compensation.
  • Opportunity to work with a fast-growing national fitness company.
  • Direct impact on client fulfillment and company growth.
  • Mission-driven company focused on making the world a healthier place.
  • Fast-paced environment where execution, speed, and results matter.
