Position Description:
Redhorse Corporation is seeking an Information Management Support specialist to work on task with the U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF). The USFF is responsible for coordinating, establishing, and implementing integrated requirements and policies for manning, equipping, and training Atlantic and Pacific Fleet units, strike groups, and strike forces. This role will provide comprehensive operational and environmental support for Fleet training range complexes and operations while meeting OFRP requirements and adhering to governmental environment laws, acts, statutes, and policies.
Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Interface with environmental, natural resources, range planners and managers, fleet operators, and IT and data management professionals to discern Fleet IT support requirements, and translate them into relational databases and other IT products in support of USFF and PACFLT projects, data calls in response to congressional and chain of command inquiries or litigation, outreach products, and other related projects.
  • Direct the EIMS Support Team in systems engineering activities that shall enhance the IT capabilities of EIMS, PMAP, WDZ, and other Fleet IT systems and applications. This could include one or more of the following: concept of operations formulation; requirements definition, analysis, and engineering; system architecting; system analysis and design; interface and data architectures, validation, and verification; system integration; system and operations performance analysis, cybersecurity, and accreditation/certification requirements.
  • Coordinate development of data exchange mechanisms between EIMS and related systems that support USFF/PACFLT environmental, and range sustainment, such as DCAST, Navy Acoustic Exposure Model (NAEMO), Mission Compatibility Assessment Tool (MCAT), GeoReadiness Explorer (GRX), and similar.
  • Other duties as designated in support of environmental training operations.
Requirements for Experience, Skills, Education and Credentials include:
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience working in IT field; three (3) years of which are systems engineering related.
  • Knowledge of application programming, database design, GIS, Internet, intranet, extranet, and client/server architectures.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, system design, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with technologies such as Windows servers, Citrix, .NET application development, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, ORACLE database, and Microsoft (MS) Access.
  • Experience with DoD/DoN IT standards and policies such as CMMI and ITIL
  • Prior military or equivalent civilian experience.
  • Experience working with existing military operational, scheduling, environmental, or range management information systems.
  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II designation.
  • BS degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
