JOB DESCRIPTION

Support technician performs material movement throughout the facility, as required.

Position Summary

  • Locate correct raw material in storage areas for each work order or for staging and/or Shipping.
  • Use cranes to transport and load raw material on machine or on flatbed truck trailer.
  • Perform electronic bin move to the machine or staging area.
  • If material is not completely used, the support technician is responsible for assuring operators print new tags with the correct weight for the remainder of the bundle. The bundle is transported back into storage area and an electronic bin move is performed.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reading and understanding work order requirements. (All support)
  • Reading and understanding part specifications. (All support)
  • Banding bundles or containers, as necessary
  • Tag material as per work order notes
  • Reading and understanding inspection equipment. (Crane support)
  • Verifying correct material is loaded onto machine. (Crane support)
  • Verifying correct container is being used for cut parts. (Forklift support)
  • Understanding how to use and read BOSS viewer and Mobile applications. (All support)
  • Authority to shut down any equipment or activities where there are safety concerns.
  • Authority to shut down any equipment or activities where there are quality or safety concerns


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Ability to use and read inspection equipment
  • Ability to read part specifications and/or blueprints
  • Pass support technician training

Physical requirements and working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
