Job Description
Information Systems Student Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance services to local education agencies to facilitate successful implementation of any of the following information systems available to them: TSDS/PEIMS, Ascender, Skyward, Future Systems
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
  1. Five years' experience with student information systems databases (Ascender, Skyward) -required
  2. Excellent customer service, and advanced clerical and data entry experience - required.

Special Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  3. Self-motivated, task-oriented, and able to work with clients with diverse needs.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures.
  6. Ability to objectively evaluate data and provide pertinent feedback in relation to assigned areas.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate with clients by telephone and remotely (e.g. telephone, email, webinars).
  8. Advanced knowledge in the assigned areas above, including the use of the computer and relevant technologies.

Program Management:
  1. Responsible for providing support and technical assistance in planning, implementing, and evaluating PEIMS and Student Information Systems support to ESC-2 staff and external clients.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned.
  3. Participates in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goals.
