Job description

Location: CENTRAL OFFICE

STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS COORDINATOR


BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE


The purpose of this position is to coordinate data collection, applications of the student information system, and other software programs and applications used throughout the district. Information related to these programs is used to facilitate all forms of data collection at the district level and to submit required data in multiple required state and federal reports.


Reports To: Executive Director of Student Services


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Student Information Systems Coordinator
Attend training to maintain current information about data reporting requirements
Communicate/coordinate with various departments to collect new data for entry into the
student information system (ESOL. Special Education, Gifted, CTAE etc.)
Collect and transmit data for all required local, state and federal reports
Attend training as necessary to maintain current information about student information
procedures/updates
Provide training to staff as necessary
Work with school administration staff to maintain accurate student data
Provide technological support throughout the district that is directly related to the Student Information System
Assist administrators/staff with reports related to student data
Monitor enrollment processes and procedures to adhere to state/federal guidelines
Process requests for Student Records/Transcripts
Upload, maintain, and troubleshoot student data for district level software applications
Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Maintain confidentiality of student information as defined by FERPA
All other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL


Associate degree or equivalent as a minimum. Preferred education/training in a data management and/or information systems area.


EXPERIENCE


Experience dealing with student information systems preferred.
Experience in data collection preferred.
