Job description

Our Strategy & Operations team is a nimble group that partners with senior leaders across Match Group and our portfolio businesses on their most important strategic priorities. The team shapes the company's long-term direction by bringing analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and clear operational guidance. We bridge high-level vision and day-to-day execution, ensuring the organization is aligned and moving effectively toward shared goals.
As Manager, Strategy & Operations, you will act as an internal strategy consultant to executive leadership and the Match Group brands. You will lead or support high-impact initiatives, helping define strategic direction and translating insights into actionable plans. You should be equally comfortable diving into data, synthesizing findings into recommendations, and partnering across teams to bring proposals to life. You will report to the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, and work closely with peers across Strategy, Operations, and Consumer Research. As part of a corporate team supporting a portfolio of brands, you will engage with a wide range of senior stakeholders and adapt seamlessly to different business needs, work styles, and communication preferences.
Know where you belong. Match Group is a leading provider of dating services globally. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Match, Hinge, PlentyOfFish, The League, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn't stop at our platforms - it's the foundation of every team we hire.
When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL). We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL 3 days/week.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics. Benchmark Match Group brands and surface insights that inform strategic decision-making. Identify market signals to inform buy, build, or partner decisions across the Match Group portfolio.
  • Portfolio Strategy: Support resource allocation and strategic planning across brands and geographies. Identify portfolio-level opportunities and risks and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Business Case Development: Translate user, market, and financial data into clear financial models. Size growth opportunities, present the results and strategic implications, and create the paths to implement.
  • Special Projects: Drive and support strategic initiatives for Corporate and Business Unit leadership. Provide clear perspectives grounded in analysis, business context, and operational realities.
  • Corporate Operations: Develop materials for key executive forums - Strategic Planning, Board of Directors meetings, and Quarterly Earnings - and support project management for these programs.

We may be a Match if:
  • You have 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy (ideally in consumer tech).
  • You pride yourself on being "answer first" and always driving to the "so what."
  • You bring strong analytical skills, including market and competitive analysis, use of strategy frameworks, and development of business cases with imperfect data.
  • You have experience developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • You have demonstrated success aligning stakeholders across functional, business, and technical teams.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, with experience creating concise, executive-ready materials for C-suite audiences.
  • You are a highly organized, proactive operator who thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • You are proficient in building presentations in Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in conducting analysis and modeling in Excel; including intermediate-level formulas (e.g., index+match, xlookup), pivot tables, and charts.
  • Experience writing clear, well-structured executive memos

$ 125000- $140000 a year
