Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our Delivery Service Partner (DSP) business. This pivotal role requires a proactive leader with a passion for driving safety, optimizing route efficiency, and fostering a high-performance team of Delivery Associates. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will develop and implement strategic plans to ensure operational excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth while upholding strict safety and customer experience standards.

Pay: $55,446.58 - $65,182.98 per year

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee all daily delivery operations, including route planning, station dispatch, and fleet management to ensure 100% on-time delivery and route completion.
  • Performance Metrics (KPIs): Monitor and improve key performance metrics including Delivery Quality, Customer Satisfaction (FICO score/POD), and Safety compliance, acting promptly to rectify issues.
  • Team Leadership & Safety: Lead, motivate, and coach a team of 30-70+ Delivery Associates and dispatchers, ensuring a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
  • Fleet Management: Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules, inspect vehicles and equipment, and manage damage reporting to ensure a safe, operational fleet.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain positive, professional on-site relationships with Amazon station leadership, participating in daily stand-ups and debriefs.
  • Process Improvement: Implement operational improvements to enhance delivery speed, reduce idle time, and optimize fuel efficiency.
  • Staffing & Scheduling: Manage driver scheduling, route coverage, and lead recruitment efforts to maintain adequate staffing levels for varying package volumes.

Requirements:

  • Logistics Experience: 3+ years in logistics, last-mile delivery, or transportation management.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in managing teams (20+ employees preferred) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in using data-driven metrics to drive team goals and improve performance.
  • Operational Agility: Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges on the fly and manage high-pressure situations.
  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as logistics operates 7 days a week.
  • Tech Savviness: Familiarity with logistics apps, dispatch systems, and GPS tracking software
