At Adira at Riverside, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staffing Coordinator to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing units and providing exceptional care to our patients.

Overview:

As a Staffing Coordinator/HR Assistant, you will be responsible for allocating nursing staff (24/7 schedule) based on a master schedule under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director. You will work closely with Nursing Management to ensure appropriate staff coverage for the Nursing Units, reviewing staff schedules and identifying variances to staffing plans. You will also maintain a master staffing plan for each unit, allocate nursing resources, and complete re-certification for C.N.A. follow-up and maintain logs of LPN and RN licenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with RN Supervisors to maintain a master staffing plan for each unit

  • Work with Nursing Management to ensure appropriate daily staffing coverage for each unit

  • Maintain staffing pattern of attendance and process personal time off

  • Allocate nursing resources, including supplemental staff and reassignment of staff as per instructions of RN Supervisors and/or Charge RNs for optimum utilization of nursing personnel

  • Complete re-certification for C.N.A. follow-up and maintain log of LPN and RN licenses

  • Ensure seamless communication between nursing staff and management to ensure efficient staffing and patient care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in staffing/HR experience in a nursing home setting

  • Must have a strong understanding of staffing and scheduling principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
