Additional Information About the Role
BJC HealthCare is seeking a Sponsorship and Events Strategist to help with negotiations for sports, arts and community sponsorships and hospital events. Individual candidates should have experience in scoping and planning events to include budget, internal/external communications, brand ID/logo inclusion, on-site marketing activations, creative marketing extensions, etc. This position also executes these job responsibilities/skills through internal and external relationship building and stakeholder engagement and individual know-how and accountability. This person needs to also attend events on weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
Monday-Friday, hybrid opportunity, work from home most days with in office attendance on 1-2 days per week.

Role Purpose
Coordinates, develops, publicizes, and evaluates employee, patient or community-based activities and events, and marketing sponsorships, that align with hospital goals and priorities, and that support goals of community engagement, business development, education, prevention, and/or employee appreciation and recognition.
Responsibilities
  • Assist marketing department with assessment of sponsorship and partnership opportunities and community activities on behalf of the HSO; Partner with Human Resources to assist with development of employee focused activities and recognition programs.
  • Plans, executes, and measures myriad employee or community events aimed at employee recognition and retention, community engement, lead generation and health literacy.
  • Oversees promotion of smaller-sized community and employee events, and helps evaluate new event opportunities with input from department leadership; helps analyze data to measure success and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • As needed by team, coordinates vendors and per-diem staff; assists with programming, classes, sponsorships/partnerships, and other special services and helps oversee on-site coordination, and HSO representation at events, including communication with event attendees, and collection of external prospects for marketing database. Assists with coordination of annual United Way campaign or employee celebrations and recruits team of volunteers to assist with activities, recognition programs and other community outreach initiatives. Conducts client surveys to determine interest in new events and to obtain feedback on all completed events.
  • Prepare measurement and analytics for post-event analysis and reporting. Assist with strategy to identify new employee or community event opportunities.
