Job description

Our client is a well-funded Software Startup in New York City, NY building technology to help government entities to leverage AI to increase efficiencies and outcomes. They are currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer for their office located in midtown, and this is a hybrid on-site role.


Qualified candidates will have at least 5+ years overall experience including hands-on experience with the following technology Stack: Python, FastAPI, Async Python, MongoDB / NoSQL DBs, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Temporal, SpiceDB. Ideal candidates will also have experience with AI / LLM driven backend systems, optimization / scaling / eliminating bottlenecks. BSCS or equivalent is required.


The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for approximatly 70% Backend coding and 30% Infrastructure scaling. Candidates need startup experience and the company prefers technology degrees from top-tier schools. Applicants must be willing to and be interested in working on-site in NYC in a hybrid capacity 3+ days / week. This position offers competitive base salary, equity and comprehensive benefits.
