Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, Clinical Instructors, and Staff Technologists, the Intern will be responsible for learning to: assist with assigned radiographic procedures and related procedures for diagnostic interpretation; learn to perform radiographic procedures, document inventory of materials and supplies used in the related services. Intern will attend inservice education programs for radiology procedures. Upon completion of internship, intern should be able to meet the minimum, basic competencies of a Radiologic Technologist per Job Description Code: 817. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. A strong science and math background. Two years of college is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Effective interpersonal skills are required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
