Shared Services: HRM Residents and Interns- (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

Temporary Dates:

May 24th - August 6th, 2027

June 28th - September 10th, 2027

Candidate is expected to be here on or around  May 17th or June 21st, 2027 for onboarding. The program starts on May 24th or June 28th, 2027

Job Summary: This internship is designed for college students who are interested in exploring paths towards a career in healthcare administration or academic administration. The internship will provide the Intern with an overview of the specific hiring department and provide hands on training. Several examples of Business Intern positions throughout Loma Linda University Health in the following areas; Finance and Accounting, Human Resource Management, Physician Practice Administration, Process Improvement, Public Relations and Marketing, Revenue Cycle, and Risk Management. Please indicate your area of interest in the cover letter section of application. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: No experience required. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with field of study in Business, Communications, or related field. Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church required.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
