The Role
Mariana Minerals is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join its Engineering team, to lead the delivery of a mining project at its Copper One subsidiary in Utah. This role will be instrumental in bridging initiatives and workstreams across R&D, piloting, existing operational infrastructure, engineering, construction, environmental, finance, and more.
What You'll Do

  • Facilitate program meetings and ensure clear action tracking and progress on task statuses
  • Manage interfaces between all technical disciplines, contractors, and site operations
  • Translate geological uncertainty into project risk, contingency, and study scope
  • Ensure clear alignment on metallurgical test work, R&D programs, and pilot plant campaigns to de-risk the flowsheet
  • Direct engineering consultants and internal teams through studies and trade-offs (mining method, process route, throughput, utilities)
  • Oversee detailed engineering, procurement, and contractor performance

  • Own the project business case, capital and operating estimates, and economic model inputs
  • Present funding requests and stage-gate approvals to executive leadership
  • Maintain alignment between project delivery and corporate strategy

What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience leading complex technical programs or capital projects in mining, metals, chemicals, refining, energy, or other heavy industrial environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational start-up phases
  • Strong program management skills, including ownership of project schedules, budgets, contractor performance, risk management, and execution deliverables
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across technical, operational, construction, and business teams in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to drive alignment and accountability across all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working on-site in an industrial environment; this is a full-time, in-person role based in Moab, UT
Why Join Us?
