Job Title: Sr. Human Resources Generalist Location: Tinton Falls, New Jersey

Type: Temporary, 6-9 months (temporary maternity coverage) Compensation: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite (Tinton Falls, NJ) Note: Remote work is not available. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Sr. Human Resources Generalist Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Head of Human Resources and supported with two other HR staff members.
  • Significant concentration on employee relations, employee investigations, and leave of absence management (processing FMLA, NJFLA, FLI, TDI, etc.)
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions (including union employees), write-ups, warnings, terminations.
  • Assist with administering FMLA and leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance and proper documentation
  • Help process and respond to unemployment claims and related inquiries
  • Process employment verifications and maintain accurate employee records
  • Partner with managers to address performance concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain organized documentation related to employee relations, leave administration, and compliance
  • Provide HR support to a field-based workforce
Sr. Human Resources Generalist Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of HR "generalist" experience from a fast-paced environment
  • Strong background in Employee Relations and leave administration
  • Experience handling workplace investigations and disciplinary actions
  • Knowledge of unemployment claims and employment verifications
  • Experience supporting union employees strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal training or ramp-up time
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
Sr. Human Resources Generalist Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related is highly preferred
  • Experience in construction, transportation, or similar field-based industries
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
