About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify a Contract Human Resources Generalist to support a busy HR team during a temporary leave. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing HR administration with employee support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while providing exceptional service to employees and leadership. Previous experience supporting a union workforce and processing payroll is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Human Resources operations for a manufacturing facility
  • Process and audit weekly and bi-weekly payroll using UKG
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate HRIS data entry
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, personnel changes, and employment documentation
  • Manage employee scheduling and maintain accurate workforce records
  • Track attendance and support union attendance point administration
  • Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions and policy interpretation
  • Support payroll, HR reporting, and administrative functions
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
  • Ensure accuracy across HR systems and documentation


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred
  • Experience supporting a union workforce is strongly preferred
  • Payroll experience required
  • Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) preferred
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
