This role performs on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment modifications and installations of equipment ranging from medium to highly complex systems for national and international customers. Maintains equipment documentation related to internal assembly, testing, set-up, and troubleshooting. Delivers start-up services and customer training during installations.
Responsibilities
  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhauls, or refurbishes standard equipment and special purpose equipment and system components at customer locations
  • Integrates equipment with customer and/or third-party vendor equipment, as needed
  • Provides after-sales technical support and machine maintenance training to customers
  • Performs preventive maintenance on customer equipment as required
  • Communicates with customers to schedule installations, repairs, and/or preventive maintenance work, and estimated arrival times for unscheduled service requests
  • Responds to technical questions and routine customer and sales inquiries regarding equipment operation and performance
  • Participates in trade shows as required

Qualifications
  • 4+ Years of direct work experience (2+ years for career level candidates)
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Engineering or related field, other combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage high-stress situations with professionalism
  • Able to respond promptly to customer needs and actively gather feedback to drive continuous service improvement
  • Continuously pursues training and development opportunities, including an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry, latest technologies and company product lines
  • Knowledge and ability to adhere to safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, including making decisions which may be outside standard operating procedures
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
  • Frequent travel - 25-50% domestic and occasional international
  • The ability to lift 75 lbs., frequently bending and lifting safely
