POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance to ensure proper function and maximize uptime. The Senior Lead Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, replaces and installs new components, and conducts tests. This individual will also advise and train customers on product features and general maintenance, ensuring services meet quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides on-site service and remote support during field visits and/or dispatches.
  • Manages on-site startup, repair, maintenance, and test tasks for equipment.
  • Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions.
  • Produces timely and detailed service reports, documenting service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions.
  • Logs and tracks maintenance activities using field service management systems.
  • Inspects and tests completed work to ensure service meets quality and safety standards.
  • Answers customer questions about product/equipment features or issues and escalates complex problems as necessary.
  • Performs start-up testing and customer training on features and general maintenance of products.
  • Cooperates and shares information with technical teams.
  • Comprehends customer requirements and makes appropriate recommendations/briefings.
  • Builds positive relationships with customers.
  • Operates vehicle in a safe manner.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
  • Strong technical background with advanced capability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Experience in a field services role, preferably within data center and/or mission critical facilities.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize competing tasks and keep to critical deadlines.
  • Self-starter that can be hands-on and able to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Willingness and ability to travel greater than 75% of the time, internationally and domestically.
  • Valid passport & driver's license with no infractions that would limit ability to travel.
Salary Range: $126,000 - $135,000
