Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Engineer. This is a dynamic, travel-intensive role deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced optical networking equipment and fiber optic cabling at customer sites nationwide.


Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and integrate packet-optical network equipment in the factory and field
  • Perform Fiber Optic Characterization analysis and network test & turn-up
  • Execute network migrations and comprehensive testing on complex optical networks
  • Act as Deployment Lead, organizing and planning successful field deployments
  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshoot long haul, metro, and regional optical networks
  • Conduct site surveys and produce technical documentation
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams to identify and address risks and execute per the Statement of Work


Required Skills

  • Telecom experience required;
  • 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Knowledge of provisioning on optical platforms such as Ciena 6500/RSP, Nokia 1830/IPD, and Infinera XTM/GX
  • Proficiency in Office 365
