Field Service Engineer – Industrial Power Systems

A global leader in industrial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support mission-critical power infrastructure across the United States.

About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting industrial UPS systems deployed in critical infrastructure environments. You will serve as a technical expert in the field while helping strengthen relationships with key industrial clients.
This is a national travel role based in the Houston area.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and start up industrial UPS systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Support warranty and technical service needs
- Provide on-site customer support in heavy industrial facilities
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams domestically and internationally
- Participate in factory training at global headquarters
Travel
- National travel required
- Must be comfortable flying
- Travel typically under 50%, with occasional multi-day or multi-week projects
- International travel required for initial training
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience working with industrial electrical or power systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Comfortable working in refineries, chemical plants, or heavy industrial settings
- Eligible to obtain a TWIC card
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) for international travel
Preferred:
- Experience with industrial UPS systems
- Background with major power or electrical manufacturers
- Military electrical/electronics experience
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $100,000–$140,000 (based on experience)
