Job description

This is a 100% remote seasonal salaried position with a minimum of 75% seasonal travel. APPLICANTS MAY RESIDE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES.
Join our District Service Office - Pittsburgh Team 1 and play a pivotal role in keeping our North America Fossil Services division running at full capacity. You'll step straight into a senior field service engineering position where your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will make an immediate impact. From leading on-site commissioning and troubleshooting to building lasting customer relationships, you'll be at the forefront of delivering uninterrupted technical service. You'll manage complex projects, mentor junior colleagues, and tackle challenging problems with independence and precision - ensuring every job meets the highest standards for safety, quality, and reliability.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues independently, ensuring maximum equipment uptime.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and testing activities, meeting engineering standards and project deadlines.
  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance to optimize long-term system performance.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, fostering relationships and identifying upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage on-site service projects and mentor junior engineers, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality results.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on field service engineering experience in industrial power generation or similar environments.
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex technical challenges and manage service projects.
  • Advanced skills in commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and quality control.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with customer-facing experience and coaching skills.
  • Willing to travel 75% domestically and internationally.
