We are hiring:
Field Service Engineer | Control Systems
Are you an experienced Control Systems Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience supporting gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment?
At Basis North America, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer Control Systems to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, startup, and optimization activities across complex field service environments.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled controls professional with proven experience working with OEM control platforms, turbine control systems, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, loop checks, functional testing, I/O verification, and control system diagnostics.
What we are looking for:
Control Systems Experience: Minimum 5+ years of field service experience in control systems, preferably supporting turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment.
OEM Control Platforms: Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems: GE Mark V, Mark VI, Mark VIe, ToolboxST, BH / Nuovo Pignone control systems, or similar OEM platforms.
Turbine and Compressor Experience: Experience supporting gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, auxiliary systems, and integrated control packages.
Commissioning and Startup: Ability to support installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, shutdown, operational testing, and outage execution.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Strong ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, turbine control panels, instrumentation, communication protocols, and control loops.
Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control logic diagrams, wiring schematics, technical drawings, and OEM procedures.
Field Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, work extended hours, night shifts, rotational assignments, and support high-pressure outage schedules.
Preferred Experience and Certifications:
OEM training with GE, BH, or Nuovo Pignone.
Experience with Bently Nevada monitoring systems.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, or similar systems.
H2S Alive, Confined Space, Fall Protection, or other safety certifications.
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
