Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Regional Sales is responsible for leading the Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions sales organization across North America (USA & Canada). This role owns the sales strategy, execution, and performance for the Komatsu Mining Technology portfolio, including the Modular Ecosystem and associated digital, optimization, and technology-enabled services.
This position plays a critical role in driving sustained revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion through strategic leadership, disciplined execution, and the development of a high-performing sales team. The Manager of Regional Sales will build and strengthen relationships with key customers, Komatsu entities, factories, and distribution partners while delivering a consistent and integrated One Komatsu customer experience.
The Manager of Regional Sales is accountable for regional sales strategy, forecast accuracy, budget management, and long-term growth planning, and serves as a senior commercial leader aligning customer needs with Komatsu's technology roadmap.
Key Job Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive North American sales strategy aligned with Company objectives and growth targets.
  • Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management to ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Drive adoption and growth of core and emerging Mining Technology Solutions offerings.
  • Build a foundation for aggressive growth, including long-term revenue expansion objectives.

Financial & Performance Management
  • Own regional sales performance against defined KPIs, including revenue growth, market share, customer retention, and forecast accuracy.
  • Manage and justify the annual regional sales budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support decision-making.

Customer & Market Leadership
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key customers by delivering exceptional value and long-term partnership.
  • Convert competitor accounts through differentiated value positioning and strategic engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, hire, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Establish clear expectations, performance plans, and accountability aligned with Company KPIs.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional & One Komatsu Collaboration
  • Promote and reinforce One Komatsu messaging across all customer and internal engagements.
  • Collaborate with Komatsu entities, distributors, and internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated customer experience.

Uphold and positively support Komatsu policies, values, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience, including senior or regional leadership roles
  • Proven success leading sales teams and delivering sustained revenue growth
  • Experience within mining, technology, or industrial solutions industries
  • Strong strategic planning, execution, and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Experience applying structured sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN or similar)
  • Demonstrated success optimizing sales processes and pipelines
  • Experience delivering presentations to multi-level decision-makers
  • Root Cause Analysis experience
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
