Job Description

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in growing and retaining our client base. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities to support the expansion of our group purchasing services.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients to help them maximize their participation in our programs and services while providing tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. Through your business development expertise and results-driven approach, you will contribute directly to the growth of the GESPRA network and the value we deliver to our members and partners.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the assigned territory to retain existing accounts while increasing purchasing volume, revenue growth, and adoption of preferred supplier programs.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships that deliver value for both customers and the organization.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, maintaining an active pipeline of prospective clients and representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Leverage social media platforms and sales tools, including Sales Navigator, to actively promote CPS brands and generate new opportunities.
  • Drive the adoption and utilization of eGESPRA programs and resources, including menu management systems, controlled ordering guides, the eGESPRA purchasing platform, eGESPRA Professor, and other value-added tools designed to enhance client success.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization by participating in company and industry events, strengthening relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders, and expanding professional networks within the industry.
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary education is required, with preference given to candidates holding a university degree in Food Service Management, Healthcare Services, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of two years of postsecondary education completed.
  • At least three years of experience in a Sales Manager, Account Manager, or Operations Management role within the healthcare, food service, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, seniors' living environments, hospitality, or food and beverage services is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset, as some of our clients and business partners operate in English-speaking environments.

    Organize and coordinate catering services and special events. Ensure all event requirements are planned and executed successfully, including menus, orders, equipment, logistics, and staffing. Coordinate event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.

    Supervise, train, and support service and production staff. Ensure team members follow company standards, health and safety policies, and food safety regulations while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Financial Management and Cost Control
    Assist with budget planning and monitoring. Track food and labor costs to support profitability goals and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Client Relations
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Understand their needs, provide customized solutions, and ensure a professional and positive experience before, during, and after each event.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
    Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and customer service. Monitor client satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and recommend improvements to enhance operations and service delivery.
  • Administrative Responsibilities
    Manage inventories, coordinate supplier orders, oversee invoicing processes, maintain accurate records, and prepare operational reports as required.
  • Support Daily Operations
    Provide hands-on support during events and peak periods. Ensure the smooth execution of food service operations and special events while responding quickly to operational needs and changing priorities
