Peddler's Son Produce is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead and develop our sales team while driving revenue growth and expanding customer relationships. This leadership position is responsible for creating and executing sales strategies, coaching and developing the sales team, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with strong produce or foodservice industry experience and a passion for building high-performing teams.

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and company sales goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate sales team members.
  • Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to expand the customer base.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, and Transportation to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and customer activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for executive leadership.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  •  Minimum 5 years of Sales Management or Sales Director experience required.
  • Experience in the produce, foodservice, or wholesale distribution industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel as needed.
