Position Responsibilities
We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Sales Development Manager to join Deltek's Sales Development leadership team, based in a hybrid capacity from our corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA or Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, shaping future sales talent, and operating at the centre of a modern, data-driven sales organisation.
As a senior leader within Sales Development, you will play a critical role in advancing Deltek's mission to modernise and scale a world-class go-to-market organisation. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Development Managers and SDRs, partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to drive pipeline quality, performance consistency, and long-term talent growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of Sales Development Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Own performance against targets while maintaining high standards for lead quality, execution discipline, and customer experience.
  • Drive consistent adherence to established sales development processes and operating rhythms.
  • Promote a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on activity, execution intensity, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee the use and optimisation of SalesLoft and CRM platforms, ensuring data accuracy, system adoption, and delivery of monthly performance and KPI reporting.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to provide two-way feedback on campaign effectiveness, pipeline quality, and market signals.
  • Deliver ongoing training, coaching, and development for SDRs, including performance management and individual development planning.
  • Build and maintain clear career progression pathways for SDRs and Sales Development Managers, supporting internal mobility and leadership development.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience leading high-performing Sales Development or Inside Sales teams, with a proven track record of results.
  • Strong people leadership capability, with a clear emphasis on coaching, development, and motivation.
  • Deep understanding of the full software sales cycle and modern prospecting techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling environments.
  • Ability to provide situational coaching and guide leads through qualification to opportunity.
  • Experience using CRM platforms; Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required.

Compensation Info
The U.S. On-Target-Earnings (OTE) for this position is $170,000.00-$190,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
