Job description

ABOUT THIS JOB

RevPie is a Trend portfolio company focused on driving growth through data, strategy, and brand-building.

We are looking for a driven and resourceful Business Development Manager to build and expand RevPie’s partnerships within the performance marketing space, with an initial focus on the personal finance vertical. This person will be responsible for bringing in new traffic supply partners and advertisers, developing relationships with companies that can provide direct traffic, and expanding our pay-per-click customer acquisition business.

This is a hands-on business development role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up. You will create target lists, conduct outreach across email, phone, and social media, manage the full sales cycle, and establish the CRM and sales processes needed to support long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can create opportunities without relying on an existing contact list or established sales infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and secure new traffic supply partners, publishers, and advertisers within the performance marketing ecosystem.

  • Build partnerships with companies capable of supplying high-quality direct traffic.

  • Develop RevPie’s presence within the personal finance vertical while identifying opportunities to expand into additional markets.

  • Create target accounts and prospect lists through independent research and market analysis.

  • Develop and execute a structured sales strategy across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other social media channels.

  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial prospecting and qualification through negotiation, onboarding, and launch.

  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing partners while clearly communicating RevPie’s value proposition.

  • Establish and maintain an organized CRM system to track contacts, conversations, follow-ups, deal stages, and partnership performance.

  • Replace manual spreadsheet-based tracking with scalable sales operations, reporting, and documentation processes.

  • Create repeatable sales workflows, outreach sequences, follow-up procedures, and pipeline management standards.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand traffic quality, advertiser demand, campaign performance, pricing, and partner requirements.

  • Develop a strong understanding of lead generation, affiliate marketing, pay-per-click acquisition, and how traffic moves between publishers, platforms, advertisers, and consumers.

  • Attend approximately five to six domestic industry conferences each year to build relationships, generate opportunities, and represent RevPie.

  • Use AI tools to improve prospect research, personalize outreach, streamline follow-ups, and increase overall sales efficiency.

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and identify new partnership models, verticals, and revenue opportunities.

  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, outreach performance, partnership progress, and expected revenue.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships and/or sales.

  • Affiliate marketing, lead generation, or performance marketing not required, but is a plus.

  • Experience generating new business through cold outreach, social selling, and relationship development.

  • Ability to build a sales pipeline without an existing target list, contact database, or established book of business.

  • Experience managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing.

  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and the ability to implement organized sales tracking and operational processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to connect with senior decision-makers.

  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant advertisers, publishers, traffic providers, and potential partners.

  • Self-motivated, driven, persistent, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment.

  • Highly organized, with a consistent approach to follow-ups, relationship management, and pipeline documentation.

  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately five to six times per year.

Our company offers great benefits: full healthcare package (medical, dental, vision, life), 401k with a company match, flexible schedule, catered lunch, coffee, tea and snacks, paid parking, competitive pay, and much more!
