Job description

Account Executive (NYC)

Upfluence | New York City (in-office) | Full-time, early-career closing role

About the role

Upfluence is the influencer marketing platform that brands and agencies use to find creators, run campaigns, and pay talent, all in one place. As an Account Executive, you own the full sales conversation: you run live demos, you close, and you carry a number. This is a closing seat from day one, not a stepping-stone you wait years to reach.

We are building a team of people who are early in their careers but already know how to compete and win. If you have been booking meetings someone else gets to close, or you are a recent grad who is sharper than the job market has given you credit for, this is the seat where you get to close your own deals and own your own number.

What you will do
  • Run up to six live demos a day with prospects, working both fresh leads and opportunities you source yourself
  • Own your pipeline and your quota: you carry a monthly and quarterly target, and your earnings are uncapped
  • Become a genuine expert in influencer marketing and in how Upfluence solves real problems for brands and agencies
  • Manage your pipeline and follow-up in Salesforce so nothing slips
  • Bring the voice of the customer back to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success so the platform keeps getting better
Compensation and benefits
  • Base salary: $58,000
  • On-target earnings: approximately $100,000, uncapped, with per-module spiffs paid on top of commission
  • Clear progression: a defined ladder from AE I to AE II to Senior AE to Assistant Director, with base increases as you grow inside your role, not only when you are promoted
  • Time off: three weeks of paid vacation in your first year
  • Health: comprehensive medical coverage

The ceiling here is set by your results, not by a pay band or a queue ahead of you.

Who we are looking for

You do not need prior SaaS or formal sales experience. You do need evidence that you compete and win when something is measured. That might be a sales or SDR role where you hit your number, a sport, a campus leadership role, or a side hustle with real figures behind it. We care far more about what you have done than where you did it.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has been measured on a goal and beaten it, and can tell us specifically how
  • Communicates clearly and listens actively, then proposes solutions that add value
  • Takes ownership: of the role, of the number, of getting better
  • Stays resilient when the answer is no, and treats feedback as fuel rather than criticism
  • Is genuinely curious about influencer marketing and wants to learn the space deeply

If you were strong at a job that capped you, or strong coming out of school and stuck in a market that has not matched you yet, we want to talk.

How to apply

Send us two things:

  1. Your resume.
  2. A link to a video (about two minutes) telling us why you, why sales, and why Upfluence. Loom, an unlisted YouTube link, or any link that opens without a login is fine.

We watch every video. It is simply how we get to know you a little before we meet, so relax and be yourself.
What We Offer

We offer a flexible hybrid work model, providing our employees with an office setting and the ability to work partially from home. We believe in work-life balance and provide access so we can make the best of our workdays.
  • Extensive training to support your transition into SaaS sales
  • A clear career path with opportunities for growth and upward mobility
  • Hybrid work environment (2-3 days in the office, the rest remotely)
  • Comprehensive compensation package (base salary + commission)
  • Daily fresh leads: no cold calling required
  • Stock options and employee perks
  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
  • Generous PTO & Company holidays
  • Diverse and international team
  • An entrepreneurial environment that fosters growth and innovation

Upfluence is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate every applicant on merit and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
