Job description

Job Title: Robotics Coordinator

Department: Recreation

This position has shared duties between special projects which consists of Robotics programs and front desk duties of the Recreation Center. The robotics coordinator would be greeting customers, collecting fees, taking and transferring calls, answering customer questions. The Recreation Robotics Coordinator is responsible for the Robotics program, scheduling events, notifying the public. This position reports to the Recreation Assistant Director and Recreation Director.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Completes a daily report of all transactions and ensures funds collected are deposited daily
  • Monitors quantity of goods and materials on stock through a manual inventory control system for robotics
  • Schedules and occasionally conducts tours
  • Verifies bank reconciliation statements
  • Meets the public, schedules tour times and answers questions
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes
  • Merchandise marketing and inventory control.
  • Coordinate Robotics events
  • This position will require the performance of other essential and marginal functions as assigned.

Ability to:

  • Work cooperatively with other City employees and the general public.
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
  • Communicate orally with customers, clients, and the public using a telephone, in a face-to-face, one-to-one setting, and in a group setting
  • Operate keyboard devices such as calculators, PC, and any other office machines.

Work Environment:

  • Move light objects (less than 20 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet).
  • Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.
  • Office Environment; exposure to computer screens.
  • Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time; extensive use of computer keyboard.
  • Lift arms above shoulder level.
  • Climb ladders or steps to reach objects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is subject to the City of Liberals Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes one or more of the following: pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, Reasonable suspicion testing, and follow-up testing.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma and three years of retail or office experience. Experience in organizing events is a plus.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
