Position Summary
The Respite Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and growing Beech Brook's Respite Program. This position recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and supports respite workers while promoting the program throughout the community. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between families, respite staff, referral sources, and community partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered respite services.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, relationship-oriented, and comfortable using social media and community outreach strategies to recruit staff and increase public awareness of the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment amp; Hiring
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified respite workers.
  • Utilize social media, online job boards, community events, colleges, and local organizations to recruit candidates.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified respite providers.
Onboarding amp; Training
  • Coordinate onboarding for all newly hired respite workers.
  • Facilitate orientation and required training.
  • Ensure completion of required documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements.

Staff Supervision

  • Ensure services meet agency, county, and state requirements.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in human services, behavioral health, child welfare, or a related field.
  • Experience recruiting, supervising, or training staff preferred.
  • Experience with community outreach and public presentations preferred.
  • Experience managing social media platforms for recruitment or marketing strongly preferred.
