Position Summary
The Respite Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and growing Beech Brook's Respite Program. This position recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and supports respite workers while promoting the program throughout the community. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between families, respite staff, referral sources, and community partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered respite services.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, relationship-oriented, and comfortable using social media and community outreach strategies to recruit staff and increase public awareness of the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment amp; Hiring
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified respite workers.
- Utilize social media, online job boards, community events, colleges, and local organizations to recruit candidates.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified respite providers.
Onboarding amp; Training
- Coordinate onboarding for all newly hired respite workers.
- Facilitate orientation and required training.
- Ensure completion of required documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise, support, and evaluate respite workers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and field observations.
- Assist staff with scheduling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure quality service delivery and compliance with agency policies.
Community Outreach
- Educate families, referral sources, schools, and community organizations about Beech Brook's Respite Program.
- Represent Beech Brook at community events, resource fairs, and networking meetings.
- Develop presentations and informational materials promoting respite services.
Social Media amp; Marketing
- Manage and regularly update social media content related to recruitment and respite services.
- Create engaging posts highlighting employment opportunities, program successes, and community resources.
- Work collaboratively with the Communications team to increase public awareness and support recruitment efforts.
Program Coordination
- Coordinate referrals and match respite workers with families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and program records.
- Monitor service utilization and staffing needs.
- Assist in collecting program data and preparing reports.
- Ensure services meet agency, county, and state requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in human services, behavioral health, child welfare, or a related field.
- Experience recruiting, supervising, or training staff preferred.
- Experience with community outreach and public presentations preferred.
- Experience managing social media platforms for recruitment or marketing strongly preferred.

Working Conditions
- Combination of office, community, and remote work as appropriate.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours for recruitment events and community outreach.
- Local travel throughout Northeast Ohio required.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel throughout the community.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and computer technology.
