Job description

As a Resident Services Director for Meadow Creek Village we’re looking for you to support the Wellness Standards regarding implementation of care plans, training and communication across departments and third parties. Furthermore, the Resident Services Coordinator will support the Wellness Director while also supervising care associates.

What we look for in a Resident Services Director:

  • Preferred associates degree in a health-related field or licensed health care professional such as social worker, LPN, RN, CNA etc. .

  • Has successfully completed a medication training course and maintains on-going training that meets all state requirements

  • Experience of 2 years or more in the care of senior adults and adults.

  • Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a related healthcare setting preferred

  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Must have certification as required by State regulations for activities.

  • Requires current First Aid and CPR certification, per state requirements.

  • Maintain applicable state requirements of resident care specific training.

  • Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.

  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff.

  • High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, written and oral with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public

What you can expect to do as a Resident Services Director:

  • Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff

  • Be involved in the recruitment for all other positions within the Wellness Department.

  • Coordinate and oversee the ordering of resident specific and departmental related supplies.

  • Timely and accurate submission of department payables such as expense reports

  • Contribute information vital to the development and implementation of customized service plans

  • Participate in resident and family care conferences as needed.

  • Assist residents with medications in accordance with physician orders as needed.

  • Ensure that resident care is provided in a safe and effective manner, while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice, privacy and respect

  • Maintain a current knowledge of and monitor community compliance with applicable federal and state regulations related to resident care

  • Contribute significantly to the quality of life of the residents through meaningful interactions

  • Communicate applicable regulatory, community and company policies, procedures and guidelines to other departments and assist in implementation and evaluation of systems as needed.

  • Coach and teach supervised associates how to effectively communicate their needs as well as resident needs with others. 

  • Demonstrate organizational skills around time management

  • Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living
