As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Allina Healthcare, PC, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a caseload of youth clients while building trusting relationships and adhering to professional ethics.
• Meeting regularly with clients to assess progress, stability, and appropriateness for discharge.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring personalized treatment plans that focus on each client’s unique needs.
• Conducting comprehensive intake assessments and ensuring accurate documentation and progress notes for each client session.
• Providing consistent individual therapy sessions throughout the week to promote mental wellness.
• Participating in regular supervision meetings to enhance clinical skills and accountability.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and improve client outcomes.
• Embracing a growth mindset to continually improve your skills and adapt to evolving client needs.

Your work will primarily center on youth facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Understanding the unique developmental needs of this age group will be crucial in your approach to counseling. You will engage with clients in a manner that empowers them, fostering resilience and encouraging personal growth.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• The capability to meet internal credentialing requirements for clinical settings.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or those struggling with substance abuse.
• Proven experience in assessment, diagnosis, and providing both individual and group therapy.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills and documentation practices.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in youth counseling, telehealth therapy, or specific therapeutic modalities related to adolescent mental health are preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records and teletherapy software will also be advantageous.
