The Challenge

OneTrust is seeking a Principal Technical Trainer and Content Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-impact technical education for customers and partners in a fast-moving, release-driven SaaS environment.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role for a highly experienced education professional who excels at both facilitating live technical training and creating scalable, digital-first learning content that drives adoption, self-sufficiency, and measurable business outcomes.

This role operates at the intersection of technical training, content strategy, instructional design, and rapid content development, translating complex product capabilities into clear, persona and use-case-driven learning experiences across a global audience.

You Will

This role is responsible for designing and delivering education across solution-aligned learning tracks, including:

  • Technical training facilitation (ILT/VILT)

  • Full-course content development

  • Adapt delivery for technical, global, and mixed-experience audiences

Content Development & Course Ownership

  • Design, build, and maintain full-course technical learning content across digital and live formats

  • Convert product, SME, and release-driven inputs into scalable learning experiences

  • Structure content using the standard:

  • Operate within a seasonal release cycle, including impact assessment and content updates

  • Contribute to post-release measurement and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, Marketing, and Legal to ensure content accuracy and alignment

  • Translate complex functionality into clear, outcome-driven learning experiences

  • Partner with education stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality across the portfolio

AI & Operational Excellence

  • Use AI tools to accelerate content development, including drafting modules, generating scenarios, and summarizing release changes

  • Maintain high standards of quality, clarity, and consistency

  • Manage work through structured processes, including writing clear requirements, tracking dependencies, and delivering on schedule

  • Balance multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, release-driven environment

You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in technical training, instructional design, or course development in SaaS or enterprise software environments

  • Proven experience delivering instructor-led training and building full-course learning content for external audiences

  • Experience creating customer facing education (not internal-only training)

  • Strong ability to translate complex product functionality into clear, actionable learning experiences

  • Experience building hands-on labs and workflow-based training

  • Experience developing assessments aligned to learning objectives and outcomes

  • Strong project execution skills and ability to manage work across timelines and dependencies

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to operate in high-volume, release-driven environments

  • Experience in SaaS customer or partner enablement

  • Experience supporting certification programs and structured learning tracks

  • Familiarity with agile and rapid content development methodologies

  • Experience identifying microlearning opportunities from learner behavior and support insights

  • Experience contributing to scalable, global education programs

  • Experience mentoring others and influencing content quality and standards

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
