Job description

About Pivotal Health

Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.

Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, they’re often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.

Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement they’re entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.

Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. We’re building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.

About the Role

As Pivotal’s Director of Marketing, Health Systems; you will have the opportunity to build and lead the Health Systems marketing strategy from the ground up at a pivotal stage of growth. As the owner of this critical audience segment, you will develop the go-to-market strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline within health systems and hospital organizations. You’ll define messaging, identify key industry events and associations, partner closely with Sales and SDR teams, and help shape how the company shows up in the market. The ideal candidate brings deep experience marketing to health systems, has a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, and is excited by the challenge of creating strategy in a greenfield environment. This role offers significant ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to directly influence the company’s most important growth initiative.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and lead the go-to-market strategy for the Health Systems segment, driving awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth

  • Develop audience-specific positioning, messaging, and content strategies that resonate with health system decision-makers

  • Partner closely with Sales, RevOps, and SDR leadership to align marketing efforts with revenue goals and optimize outbound and inbound strategies

  • Build and execute demand generation programs that accelerate adoption within health systems and provider organizations

  • Identify and manage participation in key industry events, conferences, and associations to increase brand visibility and market presence

  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to refine marketing strategy and identify new opportunities

  • Establish the foundational marketing infrastructure, programs, and processes needed to scale the Health Systems business

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment on business objectives and customer needs

  • Measure and report on marketing performance, pipeline contribution, and segment growth, using data to inform strategy and investment decisions

  • Serve as the internal expert on the Health Systems market, helping shape company strategy and long-term growth initiatives

Who You Are
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong track record of driving B2B growth and demand generation

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience marketing to health systems and hospital decision makers

  • Experience developing marketing strategies and campaigns targeted at health system financial executives, including CFOs, CROs, and revenue cycle leaders

  • Strong understanding of healthcare, healthcare technology, or revenue cycle management environments

  • Hands-on experience with modern marketing technology stacks, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar platforms

  • Proficiency with marketing analytics and reporting tools, including Google Analytics

  • Experience building and optimizing lead generation programs across inbound and outbound channels

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data, customer insights, and market trends to inform strategy and decision-making

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with experience partnering closely with Sales, SDRs, Product, and Executive Leadership teams

Extra Credit Experience
  • Familiarity with IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) workflows, reimbursement processes, or healthcare claims operations

  • Exposure to modern, progressive technology practices, including process automation, AI-enabled workflows, and scalable operational systems

Why You’ll Love Working Here

We’re a collaborative, low-ego team on a mission to make healthcare reimbursement fairer for providers. While we primarily hire around our core hubs–Los Angeles and New York–we remain open to exceptional talent outside those regions. Remote and hybrid flexibility varies by role and team, and is outlined in each job description.

If you’re excited by solving complex problems and making a real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive compensation, including equity

  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage

  • Retirement savings plan through 401(k)

  • Flexible time off

  • Opportunities for company-wide connection and events

Ready to Make an Impact?
We’re building something meaningful; and we want you on the team.

Bring your ideas, curiosity, and drive, and let’s transform healthcare reimbursement together.
