Job description

Title: Revenue Manager
Reporting to: Director of Revenue Management
Location: Denver, CO or Remote (Eligible if located in one of these states: AZ, FL, GA, HI, IL, MI, MT, NC, SC, TX, UT, WA)

Inspirato seeks a Revenue Manager who will be responsible for optimizing the revenue performance of an assigned portfolio through the development and hands-on execution of data-driven revenue management strategies and tactics. This individual will work cross-functionally and leverage provided analytics tools to analyze market trends, identify opportunities and implement pricing and inventory management controls to maximize yield in accordance with the company’s financial goals and overarching objectives. They will closely monitor the results of actions taken and adjust accordingly. Accountable for achieving and reporting results across a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Analysis amp; Strategy (65%)
    • Conduct ongoing analysis of unit/location performance and booking dynamics utilizing provided KPIs and business intelligence amp; analytics reporting, deriving actionable insights on behalf of assigned portfolio
    • Devise and implement optimal pricing strategies and inventory controls to capitalize on opportunities and to achieve revenue objectives, including consideration of how different Inspirato units within the same location should be priced relative to each other
    • Monitor price resistance relative to remaining capacity to understand when pricing adjustments may be warranted
    • Regularly analyze forward-looking pricing relative to competitors to maintain desired positioning in the market and to optimize for current conditions
    • Develop a detailed understanding of market and property dynamics, including the particulars of each unit’s contract and the implications to revenue strategy and profitability
    • Identify key competitors and oversee the creation of “competitive sets” to be used in benchmarking; perform thorough competitive benchmarking analysis to understand market share of portfolio and incorporate this information into the formulation of strategies and tactics
    • Lead monthly/quarterly portfolio performance reviews with management
    • Manage revenue systems (PriceLabs, IRIS, PRE, Admin Portal) and champion technology enhancements to increase automation and decision-making efficiency
    • Own inventory management for assigned portfolio, ensuring optimal availability relative to potential demand
  • Business Engagement amp; Collaboration (25%)
    • Proactively partner with strategic stakeholders in Real Estate Finance, Asset, Care, and Sales to create confidence in pricing strategies and to build action plans that will support sustained revenue growth
    • Collaborate with Real Estate Finance and Acquisitions on the underwriting of new acquisitions and renewal opportunities
    • Engage with Marketing and Care on marketing and merchandising opportunities for distressed inventory and to create demand generation strategies in underperforming or seasonal markets
    • Support the Care amp; Sales teams by providing consistent and reasonable solutions to member inquiries related to pricing and availability
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in revenue management best practices across the organization
    • Represent the Revenue Management function of Inspirato in all interactions and communications with both internal and external stakeholders (meetings, conference calls, projects amp; initiatives, written communications, emails, reports, etc.) with an exemplary degree of professionalism
  • Special Assignments amp; Projects (10%)
    • Contribute revenue management expertise to strategic projects such as new product launches, system upgrades, or market expansion initiatives
    • Lead or support special projects that require in-depth pricing or revenue analysis
    • Share and document knowledge and assist in training new team members
  • Degree of Supervision Received
    • Performs a variety of routine and complex tasks within established policies and procedures and receives direction on new or unfamiliar initiatives. Makes decisions within scope of responsibility.
  • Degree of Decision-Making Responsibility
    • Strategic and Tactical Decisions: Responsible for recommending and implementing revenue strategies, enforcing pricing policies, and contributing to financial decision-making processes
  • Experience Required
    • Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (at least 2 years previous experience in Revenue Management in the short-term rental market or a closely related field)
  • Education Required
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Qualifications/Skills:
    • Highly analytical with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in the optimization of fixed-capacity assets
    • High degree of business acumen and professionalism with an understanding of organizational dynamics and proven ability to collaborate effectively
    • Ability to synthesize and interpret large amounts of information quickly, accurately and on a regular basis
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting)
    • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI, preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to express concepts of a complex or technical nature to a non-technical audience
    • Highly organized and able to effectively prioritize, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Mathematical and quantitative business skills, including basic math calculations, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently
    • Comfortable taking measured risks in an environment of uncertainty
    • Ability to excel both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team environment (interdepartmentally and cross-functionally)
    • Ability to quickly learn and work in many different software systems and programs
Compensation – $80,000-$90,000
We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training, and experience related to scope of responsibilities.
Paid Time Off: Accrues each pay period, totaling 15 days annually, plus 11 paid holidays.
Core Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life/AD amp;D, and disability coverage.
HSA/FSA/Commuter Benefits: Pre-tax savings and spending plans, including employer HSA contributions.
FAM Trip: After one year of employment, eligible for one three-to-four-night stay per calendar year in an Inspirato property, subject to availability and program terms.
