Job Title: SAP CPQ Lead Consultant / Solution Architect (Contractor)

Location: Remote - US Time Zone

Job Type: [Contract] effort dependent on skills and availability.

Term: Project and capacity dependent, 6 months+

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP CPQ Lead Consultant / Solution Architect who is fluent in English to drive CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) implementations and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the functional side of SAP CPQ (with working technical knowledge), leading discovery sessions, coaching clients, and architecting complex CPQ solutions integrated with SAP ECC, Commerce, Variant Configuration (VC), CRM tools, and bespoke systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP CPQ implementation projects, from discovery to go-live.

  • Conduct client workshops to gather business requirements, define solutions, and ensure best practices.

  • Architect and design SAP CPQ solutions, ensuring seamless integration with SAP ERP (ECC/S/4HANA), SAP Commerce, VC, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

  • Provide technical and functional leadership, guiding both clients and internal teams.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, coaching them through the CPQ transformation journey.

  • Define integration strategies and oversee data flow between SAP CPQ and other systems.

  • Ensure SAP CPQ configurations align with customer business models and industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize solution performance.

  • Mentor junior consultants and foster knowledge-sharing within the team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English (spoken & written) - mandatory.

  • 5+ years of SAP CPQ experience (implementation, customization, and integration).

  • Proven experience as a Lead Consultant / Solution Architect in CPQ projects.

  • Strong expertise integrating SAP CPQ with SAP ECC, SAP Commerce, VC, CRM (SAP or non-SAP), and custom solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP CPQ APIs, data modeling, and business rule configuration.

  • Experience with Quote 2.0

  • Deep understanding of pricing, quotation workflows, approval processes, and complex product configurations.

  • Strong problem-solving and client-facing skills.

  • Experience in coaching and guiding clients through solution adoption.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of S/4HANA, BTP, and Cloud integrations.

  • Experience working in multi-country, multi-language SAP environments.

  • Familiarity with CPQ analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.
